The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols was first celebrated in Cornwall, England, in 1880. It has been celebrated annually since 1918 at King’s College, Cambridge University. Through a series of readings followed by sung responses, the liturgy leads us through the biblical account of humanity’s rebellion, our subsequent ruin, God’s promises of redemption, and the advent of the Redeemer.
Join us this year on Christmas Eve at 6:00 p.m. at 1795 W. College Avenue.
